Adattamento della light novel fantasy di Takaya Kagami, illustrata da Saori Toyota, che racconta la storia di Ryner Lute Shion, uno studente della Roland Imperial Special Academy. Ryner è un ragazzo apatico e svogliato con il vizio di dormire durante le lezioni, almeno sino allo sventurato giorno in cui si ritrova coinvolto, insieme ai suoi amici, nel bel mezzo di una battaglia, durante la quale molti suoi compagni perdono la vita.
